Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has broken his silence about Eden Hazard’s speculated transfer for the first time and believes it will happen.
Hazard’s reported move to the Spanish giants has been a subject of much speculation for a long and Perez believes the Chelsea man will be playing for Madrid next season.
“We have been trying to bring Hazard to Real Madrid for several years, but I have a feeling that he will be coming this year,” Perez said in an interview on Monday.
The Blancos chief also admitted that the Belgian is one of the best players in the world and signing him would be a great thing for the team.
“I really hope he does come, he is one of the best players in the world,” he added.
Madrid are expected to make a squad overhaul after a disappointing season in which they finished trophyless and surrendered their Champions League title in the round of 16.
