Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not worried about his side being intimidated in playing at Camp Nou in tonight’s Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona and says it’s just a stadium, not a temple of football.
The German made the remarks while addressing the media ahead of his side’s crunch encounter with the Spanish champions in what promises to be a mouthwatering clash.
“The Camp Nou is just stadium, quite big, but it’s not a football temple,” Klopp said.
Despite his confidence though, Klopp insists that his side are the underdogs in the tie.
“If you play Barcelona, you are certainly not the favorite,” he added.
Liverpool will be looking to do better than last season in the competition, after they succumbed to 3-1 defeat to Barcelona’s arch rivals Real Madrid in the final in Kiev.
Kickoff is 21:00hrs.
