Knox Mutizwa and Walter Musona were both on target in the ABSA Premiership action played over the weekend.
Mutizwa netted a brace which helped his team beat Free State Stars 2-1 on Sunday.
The Warriors striker scored twice within eight minutes with his first effort coming from the spot in the 19th minute after he was hauled down inside the box. He completed his brace on minute 26 with a banging free-kick that left the keeper with no chance.
Full-back Divine Lunga did not play but midfielder Danny Phiri featured in the encounter and received a booking moments after the hour.
Free State Stars’ Michelle Katsvairo was an unused substitute in the match.
In another match, Polokwane City ‘s Musona opened the scoring in a 2-0 victory against Highlands Park on Saturday. The forward netted in the 31st minute as he started in the first XI along with fellow countrymen Charlton Mashumba and goalkeeper George Chigova.
Highlands, on the other hand, had Tendai Ndoro who was subbed off on the 79th-minute mark.
Elsewhere, AmaZulu winger Talent Chawapiwa played against his former club Baroka.
The game ended in favour of Baroka which had Elvis Chipezeze in goals. Usuthu’s Ovidy Karuru and Butholezwe Ncube also played a part in the game.
Marshall Munetsi was in the first team as Orlando Pirates moved closer to the league after beating Maritzburg United 1-0. The Warriors midfielder played the entire minutes while his team-mate Kudakwashe Mahachi was not in the squad.
Kaizer Chiefs defender Teenage Hadebe played his second match since his return to action after recovering from a facial injury last week. The defender featured for ninety minutes of the 1-0 defeat to Bloemfontein Celtic while midfielder Willard Katsande was subbed off in the 75th minute.
Khama Billiat did not play as he still out due to a hamstring problem.
