Dynamos fans turned against their team after another poor show which saw them slump to their fourth straight defeat across all competitions.
Dembare lost 1-0 to Herentals on Monday, a result which saw the club executive succumbing to pressure and made a decision last night to part ways with coach Lloyd Chigowe.
The dejected supporters jeered Chigowe and the players throughout the second half before camping outside Rufaro stadium after the match. Police had to intervene and calm the situation as violence almost broke out.
The coach didn’t even attend the post-match media conference, something that will attract a fine for him from the Premier Soccer League.
The taunting started after Chigowe subbed off striker Ngandu Mangala. The situation worsened when the team conceded a few moments later with the Dynamos fans now applauding Herentals whenever they get the ball.
The Harare giants now risk having another disastrous campaign should the executive fail to bring a capable replacement on board.
The club is reportedly targeting Tonderayi Ndiraya, Philemon Mutyakureva and Lloyd Mutasa.
