Manica Diamonds coach Luke Masomere believes Caps United did not sweat over their victory, but it was rather a ‘gifted win’ because of his team’s mistakes.
The self-proclaimed doctor of Zimbabwean football feels they gave away soft goals in the first period but was impressed by his team’s showing in the second half in which they pressed hard yet they failed to get a goal.
“We gifted them with the goals because we just gave away those two easily. I am not worried about this result. I happy with what I saw from my boys,” said Masomere.
The gaffer had in the run-up taunted Caps United saying they were just the same as his Manica Diamonds in terms of quality.
However, goals from John Zhuwawu and Joel Ngodzo made the difference. Manica who are one of the three ‘homeless’ clubs following the condemnation of their intended home grounds will now play their next home match at Gibbo stadium in Triangle.
