FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza was excited at finally finding the formula to beat Harare City at Rufaro stadium in a long time.
The reigning champions have for the past four seasons been biting the dust each time they faced Harare City at Rufaro, but goals from Ali Sadiki and Elvis Moyo ensured a sweet and comfortable victory on Friday afternoon.
“It’s a massive win for us considering that we had struggled in the past when we were coming here. I think the last time we won here was in 2014. Credit should go to the boys,” said Mapeza.
FC Platinum who were participating in the African Champions League proved they were yards ahead in terms of match fitness giving them a head start, but Mapeza shot back saying other teams ought to have also started their preparations earlier.
“People have their own opinion, we can’t stop them, but we can’t tell teams when they should start preparing,” he added.
