Lionel Messi’s incredible hat-trick in Barcelona’s 4-1 victory at Real Betis left the home fans on their feet, applauding his performance on the day.

Messi netted three goals of the highest quality to add to Luis Suarez’s brilliant solo effort. The Argentine started off with a 20-yard free-kick which reached the top left corner before he converted Suarez’s backheel pass with a toe-poked strike.

He rounded up with a stunning finish that had the home support rise to their feet and applaud.
