Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa is working without a contract after it expired last year.
Chidzambwa who is tasked with taking Zimbabwe to the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt later this year had his one-year deal expired in December 2018.
His assistants Lloyd Mutasa and Rahman Gumbo have also been working on a ‘voluntary’ basis without contracts.
Zimbabwe Football Association president Felton Kamambo said his board is seized with Chidzambwa’s contract issue.
“We are coming from a situation where we inherited things which were not in order, so rectifying some of the things are impossible to fix overnight. We are meeting as the board on Saturday and top of the agenda is the issue of the coach’s contract,” said Kamambo.
Meanwhile, Chidzambwa who was appointed by the previous board of Philip Chiyangwa, on Tuesday announced a 28-man provisional squad to face Congo at the National Sports stadium in the last game of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
