Harare giants Dynamos and Caps United have expressed their gratitude to Passion Events for affording them a competitive challenge match before the start of the season.
The two teams clash on March 10 in a Passion Events company invitational Charity Challenge Cup at Rufaro stadium with the winner taking home $20 000 while the losers get $15 000.
“This is a game that gives you a measure of how prepared you are for the season. It doesn’t come better than the clash against Caps United because it gives you the right setting and atmosphere. During derbies you are always forced to raise the game,” said Dynamos coach Lloyd Chigove.
Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe also believes the match will help him take stock of their preparations so far.
“This is not necessarily about Dynamos but its about us as a team, seeing how far we have gone with our preparations. It helps us to look at how we will look at the start of the season,” said Chitembwe.
The two Harare giants missed out on the ZNA Charities Shield, with the sponsors opting for Highlanders and Chicken Inn who were better performers last season.
