The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (CLPSL) has posted a message for FC Platinum ahead of their Caf Champions League Group B opener against Orlando Pirates tomorrow.
The Zvishavane-based side is Zimbabwe’s only representatives in the Caf’s inter-club competitions and is playing at this stage of the tournament for the first time in their history. They also share Group B with holders Esperance of Tunisia and Guinea’s Horoya.
The CLPSL posted the message on Facebook wishing the Zimbabwe champions the best in the tie.
“We are rallying behind our champions FC Platinum.net as they face Orlando Pirates in the CAF Champions League group match at Barbourfields Stadium tomorrow. We wish them all the best,” reads the message.
The match will be played at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo. The Pure Platinum Play had to shift base as their Mandava Stadium failed to pass Caf’s second inspection.
Kick-off is at 3 pm and SuperSport TV will broadcast the game live.
