FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza has cleared the air on reports linking them with Peter Muduhwa saying they are not interested in signing the player.
The Highlanders defender has in the past been linked with the Zvishavane-based side. His contract with Bosso expires tomorrow, and he hasn’t renewed it.
According to Sunday News, Mapeza said the reason he is not keen on bringing Muduhwa to Mandava was that he already has too many central defenders in his squad.
“We are not interested in Peter Muduhwa, we have never showed interest in him. I only read in the Press that we are interested in him. We have so many centre backs in the squad,” the coach said.
FC Platinum already have Gift Bello, Lawrence Mhlanga, William Stima and Kevin Moyo as natural centre backs while midfielder Kelvin Madzongwe can also play in that defensive role.
Meanwhile, Muduhwa has also been linked with a move to Chicken Inn with the Gamecocks coach Joey Antipas declaring his desire to have the 25-year-old in his squad.
