FC Platinum and Triangle United meet this afternoon in the second edition of the Castle Cup Challenge at Mandava Stadium.
The clash is played between the League Champions and the Chibuku Super Cup winners.
The Zvishavane side’s coach, Norman Mapeza is likely to rest some of his regular players as his charges seek to retain the trophy.
The squad selection is due to a tight fixture schedule which made the league champions arrived from Madagascar on Friday after playing CNaPS in the Caf Champions League. They play in the reverse fixture on Wednesday.
On the other hand, the Sugar Boys are targeting their second silverware this season, and coach Taurayi Mangwiro will certainly field his strongest side.
Striker Lameck Nhamo is available for selection in what could be his last game for the Low Veld club before moving to FC Platinum.
The last meeting between the two teams was a league game played in September and Triangle won it 3-1. The reverse fixture had ended in a goalless draw.
However, it’s FC Platinum who have dominated the tie with seven victories in twelve encounters while their opponents have managed three.
Kick-off is at 3 pm.
