Norman Mapeza was thrilled with his team’s performance after they salvaged a crucial point away to CNaPS of Madagascar in the preliminary stage of the African champions league.
FC Platinum rallied back to get a vital away goal when Edwin Madhanhanga finished off a cross from Elvis Moyo after having gone behind early in the second half.
“This was a good game of football. The boys played well especially on an artificial turf which was difficult to play. A draw away from home is good, and we are hoping to finish them when they come to Zimbabwe,” said Mapeza.
Should FC Platinum prevail past CNaPS, they are likely to meet Primero Agosto who are tipped to make light weight of their Congolese opposition.
