Nottingham Forest defender Tendayi Darikwa has backed the Warriors to qualify for the 2019 AFCON finals to be held in Cameroon.
Zimbabwe are currently on top of Group G, and they face DRC on the 13th of October in Kinshasa before playing the reverse fixture in Harare three days later.
Darikwa who recently received his local passport says he will travel to Zimbabwe for camp next weekend.
“We have to qualify for the African Cup of Nations finals so we cannot afford to lose any of these two games.
“Everything is sorted and I will be travelling to Zimbabwe next weekend,” the 26-year-old told The Herald.
Meanwhile, Darikwa and Alec Mudimu (Cefn Druids of Wales) are the only UK-based players in the Warriors squad for DRC clash. The likes of Adam Chicksen, Macauley Bonne and Tristan Nydam are yet to secure local passports so that they can feature for the national team.
