Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa is happy to see the injured pair of midfielder Marvelous Nakamba and defender Costa Nhamoinesu returning to full fitness.
The duo missed the away clash against Congo Brazzaville two weeks ago and their return to action is a boost to the squad ahead of the back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Democratic Republic of Congo next month.
Nhamoinesu started for his Czech side Sparta Prague in their Monday’s league game while Nakamba has been training for over week now after recovering from a knee sprain.
Speaking to The Herald, Chidzambwa says the squad for next month’s game against DRC is expected to be finalised this weekend.
“It is good news that some players are recovering from injuries after missing the previous match,” he said.
“But at the moment I cannot say much regarding the team, as we are currently working on the squad which we hope to have completed selecting by the weekend so that the invitational letters are sent on time to the respective clubs.”
The first encounter will be played in Kinshasa on the 13th of October before they clash in Hare three days later.
