Tonderayi Ndiraya believes the time is now running out for his Ngezi Platinum Stars after wobbling to a 1-0 loss to Mutare City and cede ground to FC Platinum in the title race.
The defeat left Madamburo four points behind their rivals, going into the final home stretch which has fixtures that seem to favour Pure Platinum Play.
“I am disappointed because this is one of the games that we should have won so that we maintain the pressure on FC Platinum. Time is running out for us because we are now four points behind, with ten games to go we need to pick up points in every game, ” said Ndiraya.
“We failed to score some clear-cut chances, but they created one chance and a few shots on target, and got a goal. We were poor defensively, and we need to improve a lot.”
Ngezi Platinum have difficult forthcoming assignments where they will travel to Highlanders before playing Caps United at home.
