Caps United fans turned the heat on their coach Lloyd Chitembwe after another lifeless performance in the 2-0 loss to Triangle at Rufaro stadium on Thursday.
In their frustration, the Green Machine supporters gave the visiting team a standing ovation at the end of the game and showered Phineas Bamusi with money.
Bamusi switched to Triangle from the Harare giants at the start of the season.
The fans blamed Chitembwe for failing to select his team well despite having an array of players to chose.
The coach, however, acknowledged that their performance in recent games is not matching the expectations of their followers.
“The fans’ behaviour at the end of the game is justified, when they come to the stadium they expect the team to win and when that doesn’t happen you expect them to react in that manner,” he said.
Caps United have gone stale in the second half of the season with their only win coming in the win against Black Rhinos.
