ZPC Kariba coach Godfrey Tamirepi believes his team’s away record coupled with Dynamos’ poor showing this season give them hope of a victory ahead of the league clash this weekend.
Kauya Katuruturu have so far claimed two crucial wins against big guns with their first victory of the season coming at Barbourfields Stadium, beating Highlanders 2-1 before picking up maximum points at Mandava Stadium where they ended FC Platinum’s long undefeated streak at home.
“In as much as we have struggled for consistency this season especially at home, our away record has been pleasing. We have actually played better away from home this season, and we hope that will come in handy against Dynamos,” said Tamirepi.
“Playing against Dynamos is easier because of its self-motivating for the players. We are not underrating them, but Dynamos have not been intimidating this season.”
ZPC Kariba celebrated their biggest win of the season thus far with an emphatic 3-1 triumph over Triangle. However, the club lost six points in the boardroom this season firstly for failing to fulfil the opening fixture of the season due to confusion over the venue and when they used an ineligible during a league match.
