Harare City coach Mark Harrison felt Mutare City Rovers employed ‘dirty’ tricks to force a draw at Rufaro stadium yesterday.
City and Rovers played to 1-1 draw in a Match-day 21 fixture at Rufaro Stadium on Friday.
Vialli Tadzoka scored the opening goal late in the second half, and it looked like Mutare City were going to take the maximum points until Wilfred Muvirimi equalised in the last minute of added time.
“ I don’t know what you guys in Zimbabwe call it but in England, we call it a mugging,” said Harrison.
“They mugged us and nearly took the win. We created so many chances and hit the bar three times, but they had one meaningful chance and scored. It was frustrating as they were getting down even without contact.
“They killed the whole aspect of the enjoyment of the game. This is a game which we should have won, but they made it impossible for us to play.”
