Highlanders coach Madinda Ndlovu was not pleased with his team’s performance despite the 1-0 win over Herentals at Babourfields Stadium yesterday.
Ndlovu reckons that the victory was a lucky one as his team did not click.
“As a coach, I am not happy, this was the worst first half I have ever seen my team play. We even tried to come up with an attacking formation, but still, we could not play well,” said Ndlovu.
” It was a beautiful goal, yes, but we were just lucky to get that winner. The fans and the players might be happy, but as a coach, I am not happy at all.”
Highlanders had a subdued performance and needed a moment of individual brilliance from midfielder Adrian Silla from a distance to get the winner. The victory helped Highlanders to recover from a poor run that had seen them fail to collect maximum points in the last three matches.
