Edmore Chirambadare is no longer training with Maritzburg United, Soccer Laduma has reported.
The midfielder joined the KZN-based side in their pre-season work-out with hope to sign with the club.
However, United has opted against offering a deal to the 26-year-old former Chicken Inn player, although he is said to have impressed coach Fadlu Davids in training.
“Edmore Chirambadare is no longer at Maritzburg United. The boy did well in training with the team, but there was an issue to do with the club’s foreign quota. The club has decided to reserve the space they have for a foreigner in their squad for a striker,” an unnamed source told the website.
Chirambadare is a free agent after he was released by Kaizer Chiefs last month.
