Thomas Chideu has joined FC Platinum on a short-term contract.
The 21-year-old striker was released by Golden Arrows at the end of last month after failing to make an impact since his arrival in October as a free agent. He scored two goals in seven appearances across competitions at Arrows.
According to The Herald, club media liaison officer, Chido Chizondo confirmed the signing of Chideu, but could not shed more light on his contract.
“We have today (yesterday) completed the signing of Thomas on a short-term contract and is now one of our players,” said Chizondo.
“It is a short-term contract, and at this stage, we are not yet commenting on the duration of his stay here, but what I can say is that he is now part of us.
“He is a talented player who has proved that over the years and we are confident he will add value to our team as we go into the second half of the season.”
Meanwhile, Chideu had been linked with a move to his former team Highlanders after he started training with them three weeks ago, but the Bulawayo giants dismissed the reports.
