Shabanie Mine have appointed Alexio Segion as the substantive coach to replace Takesure Chiragwi who resigned two weeks ago.

Segion was recently appointed as the assistant coach before taking over on an interim basis.

The club confirmed the news in a statement.

“Shabanie Mine FC has decided to appoint Alexio Segion as a substantive head coach,” reads the statement.

“Segion was working on an interim basis following the departure of Takesure Chiragwi. Any new developments contrary to the above will be communicated.”

The appointment ends a speculation Moses Chunga was joining the Zvishavane side.

Meanwhile, another coach who had been linked to the job was Philani Ncube.
