Bulawayo giants and nine times Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League champions Highlanders have struggled badly in recent weeks with team falling further in title race against the Platinum teams.
The team is currently in 4th position with 29 only points after 16 rounds of matches. Bosso have been inconsistent in the league and have failed to register back to back victories in 11 Premier League matches.
While Highlanders are preparing for a crucial encounter against log leaders FC Platinum over the Weekend. Coach Madinda Ndlovu attributed the poor show to incessant injuries bewildering the team. But despite the struggle, head coach Madinda Ndlovu is confident his side will have a good ending.
“Playing a team like FC Platinum will be very difficult without most regular players. It’s a game we have to play and we will try and salvage something from FC Platinum. It will be a difficult game, but we are going to face them head on. We have done well this season when playing against teams that play beautiful football like we do, so we hope to have another good day of football,” Ndlovu told the Chronicle.
Players that has been sidelined due to injuries are Honest Moyo, Peter Muduhwa, Thabo Lunga and Tendai Ndlovu with some hoping to pass a late fitness test for the encounter.
