Dynamos returned to winning ways following their 1-0 win over Mutare City in a match played at Vengere Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Glamour Boys had last picked up maximum points in round 11 and today’s victory put them to 17 points but remained in the 13th place.
Substitute Tawanda Macheke scored a late goal in the 83rd minute which made the difference at the end of the encounter.
Both teams had created good chances before, with Dembare’s Valentine Kadonzvo and Cleopas Kapupurika receiving more opportunities but they wasted them all.
Rovers also had a goal ruled out for offside in the 20th which could have changed the complexion of the game early.
At Barbourfields Stadium, Bulawayo Chiefs pulled another shocker when they edged 10-man Highlanders 1-0.
Chiefs registered their second win in a row, having halted Ngezi Platinum Stars’ unbeaten run last week.
Bosso were reduced to ten men after their goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda received a red card on the half-hour mark for a deliberate handball outside the box. Gracious Muleya then scored a freekick resulted from Sibanda’s handball.
Tshilamoyo tried to come back into the game, but the expulsion of the keeper affected their offensive approach to the game. However, they almost conceded another one, only to be saved by the woodwork.
The game between Shabanie Mine and Black Rhinos ended in a 2-2 draw.
Rhinos went two goals up in the first half through Tafadzwa Jaravani (11′) and Lot Chiunga (36′). The Chinda Boys pulled one back courtesy of Tatenda Makuwe’s effort in the 80th minute before David Temwanjira equalised two minutes before the final whistle.
Shabanie Mine’s technical bench had only assistant coach Chris Moyo as the rest had no PSL Licences.
Elsewhere, Yadah beat Chapungu 3-0.
