Masimba Dinyero has been sacked as coach of Zifa Eastern Region Division 1 side Green Fuel despite not having lost a match six games into the season.

Dinyero was appointed the head coach in February, guiding his team to the top of the log standings from the start of the campaign until they were dislodged at the weekend by Tenax following a draw against Bikita Minerals.

Despite the impressive start, the Green Fuel executive was “not happy ” with Dinyero’s team selection as they claim that he was preferring ‘foreigners ‘ at the expense of the local boys. The executive argues that Dinyero was mandated to field some of the local boys from the community.

Meanwhile, Green Fuel are just a point behind log leaders Tenax.
