We need to be clinical on goal: Madinda

Highlanders coach Madinda Ndlovu says his charges need to be sharper in front of the goal following a 1-1 draw against Chapungu United on Sunday.

Bosso enjoyed more ball possession but struggled to convert the chances they got.

The Bulawayo giants equalised in the second half through Adrian Silla after Bruno Mtigo had put the Midlands side in the lead in the 21st minute, capitalising on a blunder by Peter Mudhuwa.

“We still have to work on how to convert half chances. At one stage, Sianchali had a chance to bang it in, but he passed to the next man and Makaruse did the same,” said Madinda.

“I think we gave away a soft goal because of a lapse in concentration at the back.”

Highlanders remained third on the log but are now nine points behind second-placed FC Platinum and a massive twelve from Ngezi Platinum who are leading.
