Ngezi Platinum coach Tonderai Ndiraya says his charges need to remain consistent so that they stay in the title race.
Madamburo stretched their undefeated run to 14 matches yesterday after beating Harare City 3-1. They are now six points ahead of second-placed FC Platinum who are in action today.
“Yes we are championship material, but what is important now is consistency, and that’s what we have done so far,” Ndiraya told the reporters after the game.
“I am happy for the team they have not dropped their work ethic. Normally when you win like this, you tend to have complacency, but I am glad this year we have a group of players who are focused.”
Terrence Dzvukamanja, Keneth Bulaji and James Nguluve were on target for Ngezi while City got their goal from Wilfred Muvirimi later in the game.
Madamburo will face Bulawayo Chiefs away in Match-day 15.
