Kobe are currently sixth in the J-League having only won six of their opening 15 games.
Iniesta will team up with former Arsenal and Germany international Lukas Podolski at Kobe, alongside Brazilian top scorer Wellington.
On Wednesday evening, he posted a picture on a flight with Vissel Kobe chairman Hiroshi Mikitani, saying: “Heading to my new home, with my friend.”
