In a strange development, Mutare City Rovers have fired assistant coach Kennedy ‘Bocande’ Kachara with the executive blaming him for the poor results.
In a statement, City executive says they decided to sack Kachara after holding two fact-finding meetings to find the problem for the team’s poor show.
Kachara is the one who got the team back in the Premier League after winning the Eastern Region Division 1 championship last season but could not lead the team this year as he does not have the required CAF coaching licence.
Joseph Takaringofa who was appointed head coach at the start of the season holds the same post and Ndega Matsika will be the assistant.
Rovers who got relegated at the end of the 2016 season are at the bottom of the log standings and are now early candidates for relegation come end of the season.
