FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza says his team wants to retain the league title which they made history with last season, becoming the first team outside of the two major cities to win it.
Mapeza said although it’s still a long way to go before the end of the season, their target as a team is to win the league title once again.
“The league race is a marathon, it’s still a long way to go, but our goal is to win it again,” said Mapeza.
“It’s good that we are winning because we want to keep pace with the team that is at the top. A point or two points behind is good, but we would not want something like seven points behind.”
FC Platinum picked-up a win on Saturday to maintain a one-point gap from log leaders Ngezi Platinum who have 26 points.
