Zimbabwean Supersport coach Kaitano Tembo has admitted that the mood in the MTN Champions’ camp is less than “brilliant” as they seek to make amends for Today’s CAF Confederation Cup second leg tie against Kenya’s Gor Mahia.
However, there is no sign of anything approaching panic from Tembo as he revealed that there will be few changes to the side that fell to that surprise 1-0 defeat in the first leg.
“When you are not winning games, the morale in camp and the confidence of the players also goes, so we’ve got to start from the bottom, and get the players to start believing and play with a bit of freedom and confidence,” Tembo told Kick Off.
Tembo expressed that his side winless streak has left the confidence of his team at low.
“Players are now starting to do that, and play the type of football we know them for. But unfortunately now the games are running out, but in terms of performance and confidence, I think we’re getting there.” he added.
The Zimbabwean who took over from Eric Tinkler in charge of Supersport has had the going tough managing to win just once in his seven games in charge.
