There was one change to the team that started away in Namibia with Mavis Chirandu starting ahead of Felistas Muzongondi.
The first half saw the visitors attacking, but the defence was resolute to keep them at bay. Goalkeeper Chido Dzingirai also made some great saves including a one-one stop against Zenatha Coleman on the quarter hour mark.
Zimbabwe resumed the second half on a positive note, keeping the keeper busy in the early stages.
In the 98th minute, Nobuhkosi Ncube made a crucial goal-line clearance, but the Mighty Warriors responded by launching several attacks. Emmaculate Msipa finally found the breakthrough in the 75th minute when she chested down a cross from Ncube and slotted home a beautiful strike.
Mavis Chirandu doubled the lead ten minutes later after meeting Ncube’s cross.
Chirandu’s effort was the last highlight of the game as it ended 2-0 in favour of the Might Warriors.
