Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas says his side are unfazed by the pressure of playing catch up to Castle Lager Premier Soccer League leaders Ngezi Platinum.
Second-placed Chicken Inn travel to Ngezi in Sunday’s matchup against log leaders Ngezi Platinum. The Madamburo outfit as Ngezi Platinum is affectionately known is yet to taste defeat this season having won all four of their opening matches and impressively are yet to concede a goal.
On the other hand Chicken Inn has been equally impressive with the only one game they dropped points, in a goalless draw against newcomers Nichrut.
However, Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas is not worried about Ngezi Platinun form as he feels he has enough arsenal to halt the Madamburo charge.
Antipas told the Chronicle that they will approach the game cautiously without any special treatment for the opponents.
“We have no special preparations as such but we just have to go there and fight. We have to go there and have that same mentality like any other day.
“We are fully aware, of course, that they are on top of the table and have maximum points and are tipped to win the league,” said
Antipas will rely on trusted and experienced players like Obadiah Tarumbwa, Moses Jackson, fluid midfielder Clemence Matawu and the reliable goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze.
