FC Platinum look to overturn a 3-0 deficit when they face Angolan side Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto in the second leg of the Champions League preliminary tie at Mandava Stadium this afternoon.
With temperatures hovering above 30°C in the coastal city of Luanda, the Zimbabwean champions had a tough outing ten days ago and they conceded two of their goals from defensive mistakes.
But the Midlands-based outfit has declared that they have done their homework, and they are ready.
They need to score at least four goals without a reply to qualify for the next round of the competition.
Pure Platinum Play will miss winger Rahman Kutsanzira who is nursing an injury. Zambian Shadreck Mayembe and Albert Eonde of Cameroon might play today after they were left out of the first leg encounter due to lack of match fitness.
On the other hand, Desportivo Agosto arrived in the country a week before the match. They have been camping in Harare and only departed for Zvishavane on Monday.
Meanwhile, the temperature in the hosting town will be 25°C at the time of kickoff with some light rain showers expected during the game.
Kickoff time for the match is 3 pm.
