John Zhuwawu is set to return to CAPS United after Maritzburg United have decided against signing him.
The striker was undergoing trails at the ABSA Premiership side.
According to KickOff.com, a South African football website, coach Fadlu Davids confirmed the deal has fallen through.
“No, we not signing him and we’ll inform him about the decision today,” said Davids.
Maritzburg had lined up Zhuwawu as a replacement for his compatriot Evans Rusike, who was sold to SuperSport United last month.
