Devon Chafa is reportedly back at CAPS United after his planned move to Egypt failed.
The midfielder travelled to the North African country two weeks ago for trials at Wadi Degla, a top division club. His contract with the Harare giants had expired on December, 31.
According to Newsday, Chafa was spotted at CAPS’ training ground yesterday, but he did not participate in the training. He is expected to join the rest of the team today as negotiations for a new contract go on.
The return of Chafa is a boost to the Green Machine’s rebuilding exercise as he brings with him experience in the team. The club also signed several players recently including Brian Muzondiwa, Oscar Machapa and Ronald Chitiyo.
