White City Stadium is set to get renovations ahead of the 2018 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.
According to ZBC News, Bulawayo City Council (BCC) assistant director of housing and community services, McKenzie Moyo revealed that the stadium is now being attended to so that it meets the minimum standards required to host matches.
Last year, the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) and COSAFA condemned the pitch, as the city was preparing to host the senior women’s championships.
Bulawayo has Highlanders, Bulawayo City, Chicken Inn, How Mine and newly promoted Bulawayo Chiefs competing in the top flight in 2018 and only two stadiums in the city – Barbourfields and Luveve – meet the standards.
