Former Zimbabwe and Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce “The Jungleman” Grobbelaar has described Knowledge Musona as one of the most talented players of his generation.
Musona who started his European career at Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim plays for KV Oostende in the Belgian top-flight.
In an interview with The Herald, 60-year old Grobbelaar believes the Warriors captain is one of the best players in the region.
“To me, Knowledge is a very good player. He is one of the best talents that I have seen in this part of the world in a long time. There is no doubt the boy is talented,” Grobbelaar said.
“We have some players making a big impact in South Africa and others are playing in Europe. I can’t really name them all, but it just shows how much talent we have here in Zimbabwe when we export players.”
Grobbelaar is back in the country for the first time in 11 years. He will meet President Emmerson Mnangagwa during his stay.
The former goalkeeper spent 13 years at Anfield, and he became the first player from an independent African nation to win the Champions League in 1984.
