FC Platinum have reportedly stepped up their efforts to sign defensive midfielder Edwin Madhanhanga from relegated Harare City.
The reigning champions have turned their attention to Madhanhanga after their efforts to prise away Liberty Chakoroma from Ngezi Platinum failed.
Chakoroma decided to stay at Ngezi despite having agreed in principle to join FC Platinum.
In an interview with The Herald, club spokesperson Chido Chizondo said they were still working on the squad.
“I will not confirm nor deny the names that are being thrown around, but I can just say we are still working on our squad,” said Chizondo.
Pure Platinum Play has until Monday to make some adjustments to their Champions League squad. The Zvishavane side had initially registered 28 players that included Chakoroma before the deal to bring the former Buffaloes man fell through.
