Dynamos striker Christian Ntouba Epoupa will not complete his move to South Africa league champions Bidvest Wits after he suffered an ankle injury on his first day of training.
The Cameroonian arrived back in Zimbabwe yesterday, and he will be out for at least a month, hindering a possibility to make his move during the January transfer window.
Ntouba’s manager, Gilbert Sengwe confirmed the sad development.
“Christian got injured on his first day of training. According to the club, he needs at least four weeks to recover,” Sengwe said.
“We are still receiving offers from South Africa, but then I am not sure if we can risk him to go for trials again in this current window. He also had two weeks on his visa,”
Epoupa joined Dynamos at the start of last season, and scored 12 goals during the campaign. He was named one of the Premiership’s 11 best players of the season.
