Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohamed Salah beat his team-mate Sadio Mane to win the prestigious CAF African Player of the Year for the first time.
Mane finished as the first runner-up while Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was second.
Banyana Banyana was named Women’s National Team of the Year following their 2017 COSAFA Women Championship triumph. The Youth Player of the Year award went to Patson Daka of Zambia while the Egypt national team coach Hector Cuper won the Coach of the Year award.
