Warriors Legend Peter Ndlovu feels there should be more games of such magnitude after drawing 2-2 against Barcelona Legends.
This was the first time that the former Warriors reunited on the field of play years after hanging up their boots.
“ I give credit to those who organized this match. Actually we should have more of these games because it brings us the former players together. We also get to meet Zifa and discuss some football issues. This should not be the end but even have more with neighbouring countries,”said Ndlovu.
Ndlovu who captained the Warriors to the 2004 and 2006 Africa Cup of Nations said he will always make himself available for such events to market the country.
“ As for me I will do anything to promote Zimbabwe. I am what I am today because of the support I got from Zimbabweans. I am surprised that some people are ashamed to say they come from Zimbabwe out there but I will always feel proud to be a Zimbabwean,”.
The match which was organised by the Ministry of Sports as a part of promoting sports tourism in the country ended 2-2. Patrick Kluivert got a brace for the Barcelona Legends while Zenzo Moyo and Edward Sadomba scored for Zimbabwe .
