The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League continues this afternoon with two matches lined-up in one city.
In Bulawayo, CAPS United will be set to stretch their 10 match unbeaten run when they face inconsistent How Mine at Luveve Stadium.
The match promises to bring exciting action as the hosts are hoping to complete a double after they won the first leg 3-1 in a match played in Harare in July. Another interesting factor in this encounter is the number of goals scored between the two foes.
At least two goals were scored in seven of their nine league meetings. Only one match produced a single goal while the other ended in a goalless goal.
Nonetheless, the game could swing either way as both teams don’t have clear domination over another. The Green Machine have four wins while Chikurupati also have the same number of victories in the tie.
How Mine’s Frank Mukarati is not available for selection due to suspension while CAPS full-backs Valentine Musarurwa and Kudzai Nyamupfukudza are out with injuries.
Across the city, Chicken Inn are looking to tighten their grip in the title contention when they host relegation threatened Tsholotsho at Barbourfields Stadium.
The match was initially scheduled for Saturday but there were changes made after the police indicated that they don’t not have enough personnel to cover the match on the day.
The Gamecocks are currently on fourth position with 56 points, four behind log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars. Tsholotsho, on the other hand are second from bottom and they really need a win to keep alive the little hope of survival.
