Khama Billiat has been ruled out of upcoming Zimbabwe Warriors’ double header international friendlies through injury.
Mamelodi Sundows are reportedly to have notified ZIFA that he is sidelined with hamstring and calf injuries.
Zimbabwe face Lesotho and Namibia on the 8th of November and 11th of November respectively as they seek to widen their pool of players ahead of AFCON qualifiers.
Warriors team manager Wellington Mpandare confirmed the injury in an interview with the Chronicle.
“Khama is injured. Sundowns responded to our letter that he has to go under a medical examination first since he was injured and missed the match against AmaZulu.
“So time is no longer on our side and we decided to overlook him for these matches,” he said.
The Warriors will be under the guidance of Zifa Technical Director Wilson Mutekede and Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe who called up a very team which will be led by inspiratioal captain Knowledge Musona.
Also included in the team are a galaxy of British based stars Admiral Muskwe, Tendayi Darikwa, Kundai Benyu and Macauley Bonne.
