Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is reportedly keeping tabs on Zimbabwean born Ipswich Town youngster Tristan Nydam ahead of a potential transfer in January.
According to The Sun (UK Newspaper), Nydam is a long-term target of Arsenal and they are willing to hand over £2m for the 17 year old midfielder. He has 18 months left on his current deal and his contract situation has alerted Arsenal to swoop quickly to land him. Once the deal gets done, he can push for a first-team squad place or get loaned out for experience .
Nydam was born in Zimbabwe but later migrated to UK. He has played for the England youth teams. However, he can still play for Zimbabwe at international level and ZIFA have claimed that they were trying to lure him together with other Zimbabwean born stars to play for the Warriors.
