Dominic Chungwa scored twice as CAPS United beat Highlanders 3-1 in a rescheduled league match played at National Sports Stadium on Thursday evening.
The Green Machine proved their quality when they dominated the game while Bosso were disjointed through out.
The home team was the first to get a chance on goal in the first minute but Hardlife Zvirekwi wasted a beautiful ball from Phenius Bamusi. However, their breakthrough came in the tenth minute when Dominic Chungwa opened the scoring.
Bosso only got back in to the game towards the half hour mark when Simon Munawa’s effort was denied by the woodwork.
The teams went to half with the hosts on top of the things.
Devon Chafa dented Tshilamoya’s hopes of a quick come back in the second half when he scored in the 47th minute.
After conceding the second goal the visitors failed to retain position and their only meaningful chance in the second period came few minutes before Chungwa completed his brace in the 58th minute.
Nonetheless, with all hopes almost faded, veteran striker Ralph Matema headed home in the 69th minute to pull back one but his effort was a mere consolation at the end of 90 minutes.
Chungwa now leads the top goal scorers’ chat with 14 goals, two ahead of Lot Chiwunga.
