Highlanders coach Erol Akbay is still believing his team can finish in the top four despite a 2-1 loss to FC Platinum at Barbourfields on Sunday.
With seven games left for them to play, the Bulawayo giants are sitting on ninth position with 37 points. They are fifteen points behind fourth placed Chicken Inn.
“There is still an opportunity to finish in the top four. If we have won today (Sunday) it was better but we are still going for top four,” said Akbay in a post match interview.
“There is nothing lost yet, we will now focus on our next game on Thursday. We just need to win all our remaining games.”
Bosso blew their one goal lead after Simon Munawa scored in the 24th minute. Their failure to close the spaces in the midfield costed them as they conceded both goals from those areas. Meanwhile they face Triangle in their next game before they hosts Black Rhinos in the following round. Their biggest test will be against rivals CAPS United in a rescheduled fixture to be played on a date yet to be advised.
