The defending CAF Champions League holders Mamelodi Sundowns were last night eliminated at the competition quarterfinal stage after losing on penalties to Morocco’s Waydad Casablanca.
Casablanca managed to win 1-0 courtesy of a Salah Eddine Saidi first half header earning his side a 1-1 aggregate score.
Casablanca managed to secure their semi final spot win 3-2 on penalties.
Zimbabwe’s star Khama Billiat was back in the starting line up after missing the first leg in South Africa. He was however duly substituted in the 73rd minute as Sundowns sought an equaliser.
