A club official at Orlando Pirates has reaffirmed that Marshall Munetsi is still part of the squad set-up despite failing to break in to the playing team.
The Zimbabwean joined the Soweto Giants in July 2016 from FC Cape Town but was subsequently loaned to Baroka on season long deal.
Munetsi is not listed amongst the players on Pirates’ website. However, club official Floyd Mbele told Kickoff that the midfielder is still on their books and is training with the team.
“Munetsi is with the club, he is training with the club,” said Mbele, who did not offer more on the player’s situation.
The stocky midfielder narrowly missed out on joining Ajax Cape Town in the past transfer window due to injury. His recall from loan at Baroka was also triggered with his fitness concerns.
